This is one my most enigmatic paintings, chock full of imagery that may or may not be related.  The two women, the swans, the crosses, the flag, the shape of the rocks tumbled from the cart, the ribbons with notes flying from the trees will mean different things to different people. The title implies this picture is about moving from a rough road to a smoother one, but the rest is up to you.
